Heritage Pipes & Drums at 3:00 pm

MUSE OF FIRE teams with Heritage Pipes & Drums to stage MACBETH at Sloss Furnaces in 2008. MUSE OF FIRE, created in 2006 by screenwriter and theatre director Elizabeth Hunter, is presenting MACBETH in conjunction with the non-profit civic organization Catalyst. Heritage Pipes & Drums will provide the musical backdrop for MUSE OF FIRE’s production of MACBETH, Shakespeare’s famous - and allegedly cursed - "Scottish play" about Scots nobleman Macbeth’s murderous rise to power. Read more in our blog. MACBETH runs one weekend only - May 3-4, 2008. The show starts at 3:00PM, with gates opening at 2 for folks to tour the Sloss grounds. General admission tickets are $20, students/seniors/groups are $15. A select number of front-row Patrons’ Tables are available for $250, a portion of which is tax-deductible. Tables seat eight, and are extremely limited - please reserve early. Buy tickets online at www.shakespeareatsloss.com or by calling 205-757-8301 - service charges apply. Tickets are non-refundable, and there is no rain date. MACBETH is fully handicap accessible. *Please note - some scenes in MACBETH may be scary for small children.* MUSE OF FIRE is a project of Sloss Performing Arts, a cultural program of Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark, a 501c3 non-profit organization.
